About our school

McDonald Park Primary School is committed to giving every student the opportunity to achieve their potential in a caring and safe educational environment that embraces our values of respect, generosity and honesty. We provide a balanced and challenging curriculum that caters for students’ individual needs and talents, with an emphasis on developing literacy and numeracy skills. Across the site, students engage in regular and sequential programs to develop fluency in number, reading and spelling. We have a strong focus on wellbeing, offering social learning programs that develop a student’s social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Students have an active role in decision-making via a student leadership team, representative groups and class meetings, students take great pride in their school. Outside we provide a number of flexible learning spaces including four playgrounds. Families come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, and take pride in the school. There is a high level of parent participation and support, which is greatly valued.

We are fortunate to have well maintained and purpose built facilities, creating a positive and welcoming learning environment.
